2006 Efforts

Following the January 19th Issue Summit at our General Meeting, a new working group was formed to continue the efforts within the 46th District Democrats to work on the Health Care issue, and issues surrounding it.

February 6th, 2009 Lobby Day in Olympia!

Washington Citizen Action is organizing a grassroots lobby day on February 6th. Here is their announcement:

On Monday, February 6th WCA will host a Health Care Lobby Day in Olympia.The deadline for bills to be passed by the fiscal committees in the House and Senate is the following day, so on February 6th, we will be sending the message: “Make health care funding a priority!”

Meet us in Olympia at 10 AM or carpool from Seattle at 8 AM.

2005 Efforts

Following on recent discussions concerning universal health coverage, medical malpractice, and other health-related topics within the 46th, a working group is being convened at the urging of Sue Donaldson, an esteemed member of our district. Sue is former president of the Seattle City Council and now heads the Center for Lawyers in the Public Interest.

Attorney Donaldson held the first meeting of the working group at her house. You can read the notes in Minutes & Reports.
