2012 Caucus Cycle
THANK YOU to everyone who came out on a beautiful sunny day to attend our 2012 Precinct Caucuses! Our turnout was lower than we expected, but the discussions we had over the candidates and issues were very much worth the time. We'll be in touch with all of the elected Delegates and Alternates over the next few weeks to make sure we have a great turnout at the LD Caucus on April 28th.
46th Legislative District Caucus, Saturday April 28th
The Precinct Caucuses on April 15th elect Delegates and Alternates to the LD Caucus and County Convention. The main agenda items were the election of Delegates and Alternates to the Congressional District Caucuses for the 1st and 7th Congressional Districts, and approve our 2012 Platform.
King County Convention, Sunday April 29th
All Delegates and Alternates elected at the Precinct Caucuses are invited to the King County Convention. The main agenda items include hearing from our Democratic candidates and approving the King County 2012 Platform.

If you were unable to attend the Precinct Caucus, but you are still interested in running for National Delegate, please come to the LD Caucus and run for CD Delegate! You'll need to download and submit this Statement of Candidacy (docx)! Please fill it out and send it in by the deadline of Friday, May 4th.

Charity Spotlight
Many do not realize that almost half of the homeless people in Washington are families with children. Women with children are in a particularly difficult predicament, as there are not enough shelters for families in King County to provide for the increasing number who are in need. Families can wait as long as 3 weeks to find room in area shelters.
Mary's Place has long offered daytime refuge for homeless women with children. It is now working with faith communities in our area to provide overnight shelter as well. We shine our Charity Spotlight on Mary's Place, to honor and support their important work. Click on their logo below to learn how you can help.
