Elections Committee

At an executive board Advance in 2009, we heard a proposal to form an Elections Committee. This committee is responsible for tracking our operations before, during and after elections, watching our progress and recommending improvements.

Scope of work:

• Review current/ recommend changes in Endorsement Rules/Procedures
• Coordination w/King Co. Democrats/Wash State Democrats
• Contribution guidelines & recommendations
• Sample Ballot/candidate lit coordination
• Investigate proposals for candidate interviews
• Candidate Forums/Debates
• Establish Elections calendar
• Analysis of past election practices (including district specific and Coordinated Campaign)
• Analysis of election results within the district (pct x pct)
• Analysis of Caucus cycle efforts and recommendations for future cycles (as well as proposals to send to State and County Committees)
• Occasional articles for Demogram covering results or analysis, recommendations for changes, etc.
